AGES

The Rose Tree Day School Offers a morning and full day preschool program to children 2 1/2 to 5 years old. The school also offers a Morning and Afternoon Kindergarten Care Program.  The school offers an afternoon Kindergarten Program accredited through the Pa. Dept. of Education.

 

HOURS

The center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.  The Morning program hours are 9:00 to 12:30.  The Afternoon Kindergarten Care Program begins at 12:00.  Full-time and part-time hours are available.

 

FEES

The fees vary according to the program and hours needed.  There is a non-refundable $50.00 registration fee per child and a two week enrollment deposit fee per child, refundable up to one month prior to enrollment.  CCIS/Subsidized children are accepted.  CHIP program information provided.

 

STAFF-CHILD RATIO

A staff to child ratio of one to six will be maintained for the pre-school class.  A staff to child ratio of one to eight will be maintained for Pre-K Class.  A staff ratio of one to 10 will be maintained for the Kindergarten class.

 

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Parent involvement includes parent education workshops, parent & child nights, fundraisers, teacher substitution, field trip supervisors, referral services, formal and informal teacher conferences, and parent representatives on the Day School Advisory Board.

 

PROGRAM

The Rose Tree Day School offers a program to enrich the world of the child and augment what each one receives at home.

Goals are set so that every child can feel success.  Flexible groupings are arranged for different goals and activities.

 

INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAMS

Programs are individualized for each child in the following areas:

  • Social and Emotional Development

  • Gross and Fine Motor Development

  • Language Development

  • Cognitive Development

  • Self-Help Skill Development

 

LEARNING AREAS

Learning areas are set up throughout the school to encourage exploration.  They include, but are not limited to:

  • Library and Reading Area

  • Water and Sand Play Area

  • Woodworking Area

  • Dramatic Play Area

  • Music and Listening Area

  • Science and Nature Area

  • Social Studies Area

  • Art Area

  • Cooking Area

  • Manipulative Toy Area

  • Large Motor Area

Special educational enhancement programs include Gymnastics, Music and Creative Movement.

 

STAFF

Staff are certified in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.  An Educational Advisory Committee is available for special needs consultation.
